KL Street 2032 Olympics
In Malaysia, it is estimated that 79.5% of the residents have either experienced or heard about street harassment, but yet the actual statistic is poorly documented as cases went unreported and left in time. In removing the taboo silence which often surrounds cases of street harassment, commonly found targeting women, this project aligned with the commemoration of Women’s Aid Organization’s mission: to end violence against women and promote gender equality in Malaysia.
Rationale
The logo of KL STREET 2032 Olympics
is a combination of footprints, top view of Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) that best represents modern Malaysia, and street pattern. The direction of the logo took a reference from Wau, traditional kite of Malaysia. Because there is no official relation to the actual Olympics, this project recreated a fake logo to represent the worldwide event.

Malaysia is one of the countries that enjoys world cups like FIFA as social experience. Understanding this social pattern, this project turns the ignorance of street harassment into an imaginary summer olympic games in Kuala Lumpur, entitled "KL Street 2032 Olympics" inspired by the TOKYO 2020 Olympic Games. The goal is to tell the audience sarcastically that these are the games of toxic masculinity that they shouldn't be goofing around. The execution focuses on the versatility of pictograms and how it works on diverse environmental platforms.
Just like the real olympics, KL STREET 2032 Olympics has its own 'supporters' flag' called My Street Flag System, inspired by MINATO Flag in Japan and Purple Flag in UK, as well as badge for the so-called 'delegates'--which is including everyone! Both are used to declare a manifesto of achieving an anti-harassment street.
I support the fair game and disapprove of uncourteous acts of harassing people for the dirty win.
I support a safe street, day and night, for KL Street 2032.
